Back story~ I had scoliosis at a young age and was very insecure about my posture. A couple years later I receive the spinal fusion surgery to help align my spine and although my posture was corrected, I then became insecure about my scar.

All this to say, this painting was inspired by these events in my life and is a reminder that no matter the obstacles that we may go through, it is those obstacles that make us unique reminding us to embrace our beautiful scars.
